When driving along PCH, it’s hard not to stare in awe of all the cliffs, sandy beaches and beautiful homes once you hit Malibu! This small beach town has some of the most incredible hiking trails and unique beaches in all of Southern California. Each time we come back, we find more and more hidden gems in the tight-knit community. It’s impossible to get to do all of the wonderful things Malibu has to offer in just one day, but we’ve narrowed down our favorite hotspots for anyone wanting to plan an impromptu day getaway! If that’s you, here’s how to spend one day in Malibu (queue Miley’s tune).

What to Do

For an excursion: Leo Leones Trail

To take an active, heart-pumping approach to your getaway, this hike is definitely our #1 choice! Weaving through this trail is beautiful in and of itself, as you make your way through all of the ivy covered trees. Ending at the Parker Mesa Overview in Malibu, this trail allows you to overlook the Santa Monica Bay, and on the clearest of days you can see as far as the San Bernardino Mountains.

Photo via Caffe Luxxe

For people watching: Caffe Luxxe

This quaint coffee spot is where northern Italy is brought to LA. Whether starting or ending your day here, it is the perfect European-inspired setting for people watching or catching up on your podcasts or light reading. Caffe Luxxe serves the finest coffee and quick bites that give you just the right caffeine kick to continue your day-cation!

For a Relaxing time: El Matador State Beach

This beach is where you come to picnic, but stay for the alluring sunsets. It’s a favorite amongst photographers, and it’s easy to tell why as you walk along the shore and see the giant rocks emerging from the sand. If you’re looking to get away from crowded beaches and the hustle and bustle in general, El Matador is the way to go! We love coming here with our favorite summer read and a wide selection of snacks to enjoy the peace and sound of the waves.

Photo via @oddwie

For a learning experience: The Getty Villa

Not only is this property a work of art in and of itself (inspired by the Villa of Papyri), The Getty Villa is a home to over 40,000 art pieces from ancient Greece and Rome. This is the perfect place to brush up on some fascinating history while admiring breathtaking views of and from the villa. Once you’re here, you’ll realize one cannot simply leave this exquisite museum without stopping to take photos around the entire estate and its beautiful gardens. Even better news…The Getty Villa offers free admission for all!

Where to Eat

Malibu Farm

Malibu Farm takes dining with a view to a whole new level! Located on the Malibu Pier, this rustic farm-to-table restaurant serves the freshest of meals made with locally grown products. After making our way through the menu, we think the vegetable paella is a must-try! If you’re looking for something light, the Malibu Farm Cafe (an order and sit-down counter) is at the end of the pier along with their amazing shop that offers clothes, books, and tableware.

Nobu Malibu

If you don’t mind spending big bucks, Nobu is definitely the spot to go! Although this place attracts a big crowd, the food and lovely service truly lives up to all the hype. Offering some of the freshest seafood dishes and intricate cocktails, Nobu Malibu takes the cake as one of the best restaurants in the area. If you’re lucky to sit outside on the bluff in one of the chic lounges, you might even get to cross dolphin-watching off your day trip list!

Malibu Burger Co.

Sometimes we need something a little hearty, which is why we were so happy when we found this burger joint that totally satisfies a craving! From classic beef burgers to pesto kale grilled cheese (drool!) to healthy build-your-own bowls, Malibu Burger Co. caters to every kind of appetite– vegans and carnivores alike! Day-trip Hack: if you happen to extend your Malibu trip and need a late-night bite, this place stays stays open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays!

Where to Stay

We think this day trip is just enough to clear your head and feel refreshed! But if you feel like you just can’t get enough and want to turn a day trip into a staycation we recommend:

The Surfrider Malibu

This 1950s motel- turned boutique hotel- gives you the ultimate feel of coastal living. Located directly across from Surfrider Beach, this bright and airy beach house decked with hammocks will quickly feel like your home away from home. Each room, purposefully placed facing the ocean, is just enough to make you want to go off the grid for a bit and just enjoy the present. If you are looking for a moment to socialize however, this contemporary abode has an amazing rooftop deck and restaurant for all Surfrider guests to enjoy!

We always love coming back to this beautiful part of SoCal, so we are always in need of new places to check out! What are some hidden gems you’ve found in Malibu? And if you’re looking to spend some time in greater Los Angeles, check out some of our other favorite L.A. neighborhoods

If you have been to Santa Barbara, you’re probably planning a return trip sometime soon (how could you not!?). Haven’t been? We’ll easily convince you why you should pay this California beach city a visit ASAP! You can see much of the city in one day, but if you have a bit more time, follow this weekend guide to Downtown Santa Barbara for a trip you won’t forget!

Where to Stay:

Hotel Californian: The brand new Hotel Californian is a stunning hotel that takes over 3 blocks of the coveted Santa Barbara “funk zone.” It’s walking distance to the beach, dozens of wine and beer tasting rooms, and all of the amazing fashion and vintage shopping of Downtown SB. When we first walked in, the incredible Moroccan-inspired interior design took our breaths away! It’s colorful and worldly, with fun touches of modern art. Talk about being Instagrammable! Couple that with a sunset balcony view, and we were sold.

Where to Eat:

Goat Tree: This quick-eats hotspot has a broad menu of delicious local-inspired options, including some of the best avocado toast we’ve ever had! Stop by in the morning to grab a cold brew and maple bacon cinnamon roll (Trust us).

Loquita: One of our new favorite spots for a Spanish tapas-style dinner! Stop by, order a bottle of wine, and choose from their amazing tapas menu. We recommend the broccolini and the chorizo y pollo paella!

Blackbird: Classic meets contemporary at this delicious fine-dining restaurant – It’s Hotel Californian’s signature spot that focuses on Mediterranean-influenced cuisine and hyper-seasonal ingredients. This is a great place to end your weekend vacation on a high note!

What to Do:

Wine tasting: This is a must while you’re in Santa Barbara! Take an afternoon and walk around the funk zone, visiting all of the tasting rooms along the way! A few of our favorites include Oreana (try to stop by when the owners have their pups there to visit!) and Santa Barbara Winery (they have a fun back room with allllll of the wine barrels to Instagram with), but there are SO many others to discover! If you’re anything like us, you might leave Santa Barbara with a few new bottles to add to your collection.

Shopping: Santa Barbara is a hotspot of both modern and vintage shopping! For your go-to spots like Nordstrom and Lululemon, head to State Street. It perfectly combines the best stores with that signature Santa Barbara mission-style feel. If you’re looking for more unique spots, head to the funk zone. The Shopkeepers has an assortment of clothing, accessories, and gifts that you won’t find anywhere else, and The Blue Door is one of our favorite vintage spots!

Relax: You’re on vacation! Treat yourself to a relaxing spa treatment at Hotel Californian’s “Majorelle” – It’s stunning, and you’ll feel zen as soon as you walk in. If a massage or facial isn’t your vibe, take a bottle of wine up to the rooftop of the hotel and sip as you watch the sunset over the palm-tree lined pier.

Where are your favorite destinations for a weekend getaway?

The desert is one of our favorite places to visit for many reasons; the beautiful landscape, unique and impressive architecture and design, relaxing atmosphere, and the sunshine, of course. When we had the chance to visit Phoenix, Arizona last fall we discovered all of that, and much much more. The city is swimming with awesome hotels & resorts, incredible restaurants, activities, art, and nature! If you haven’t been, we highly recommend taking a road trip or quick flight over to PHX and spending a bit of time in the great city and its surrounding areas. We’ll tell you where to stay, where to eat, and what do do right here in our travel guide to Phoenix, Arizona…

Where to Stay

Mountain Shadows Resort: If you’re looking to escape, lay by a chic pool, and take in the mountain views, Mountain Shadows is for you. The new property boasts modern design that will fill your ‘gram with wanderlust worthy content at every corner. Spend time wandering the grounds, playing a game of golf, enjoying a cabana at the pool and dining at Hearth ’61 (yum!). When you book, be sure to request a room with a bathtub, where you can look out over your patio at the stunning desert scene!

Mountain Shadows Resort

Hotel Valley Ho: Hotel Valley Ho is a popular place to stay and for good reason; the fun property is walkable to downtown Scottsdale restaurants, bars, and shops, there is live music in the lobby/cocktail bar in the evenings, and the design is hip, colorful, and a bit retro. We loved the fun atmosphere, spacious rooms, and awesome location!

Hotel Valley Ho

Where to Eat

The Henry

The Henry: No visit to Phoenix is complete without brunch at this cute joint, where they have their own coffee bar and Bloody Mary cart. Enough said. Order one of their delicious scrambles, the bruléed pink grapefruit, and don’t forget to make a reservation!

The Henry

Farm Kitchen at The Farm

The Farm at South Mountain: You can spend a whole morning, afternoon, or evening on The Farm thanks to its beautiful property and three restaurants. It features an incredible garden and impressive grounds that serve as not only a wedding venue, but also a space for events, cooking classes, family activities and weekend fun. Plus, the farm fresh (straight from the garden) meals at Morning Glory Café, Farm Kitchen, and Quiessence are divine.

The Farm

Tipsy Tea Party at The Camby: If you’re looking to escape the afternoon heat for a bit, or find yourself ready for a cocktail, head to The Camby for their afternoon Tipsy Tea Party! It’s exactly what it sounds like – a tea party with cocktails inspired by favorite teas complete with an upscale take on tea party foods such as sweets and sandwiches.

Tipsy Tea Party at The Camby

Crujiente Tacos: Head here for happy hour to enjoy great deals on the delicious street-style tacos and small plates. You can’t go wrong with the tacos, a margarita, and queso! They will keep you coming back for more! We loved the modern design as much as the food!

Crujiente Tacos

What to Do

Besides eating your way through the city and spending time at the pool, there are plenty of ways to spend your time in Phoenix…

Desert Botanical Gardens: The botanical gardens in Phoenix may be the most extensive we have ever visited! The beautiful gardens are full of desert plant life, art installations, educational information and a butterfly sanctuary! Spend a short time here or all day wandering through the many exhibits.

Hike: Another great way to see the natural beauty in Phoenix is on one of the many hiking trails. Hike along Camelback Mountain or the popular Tom’s Thumb Trail in Scottsdale for an adventure.

Topgolf: For us SoCal residents, Topgolf was a must visit! The modern multi-tier golfing range is a great nighttime activity for small groups or large. Rent a bay for a couple of hours and enjoy food and drinks while you play a few games. Even if you’ve never swung a golf club, we guarantee you will have a good time!

Museums: The art scene in Phoenix rivals any other. Take a stroll through Roosevelt Row Arts District and visit the galleries and wonderful works of public art. Or tour the Wrigley Mansion, former home of chewing gum magnate William Wrigley Jr.

Hot Air Balloon Ride: Why not finish off your trip with a bird’s eye view of Phoenix? A sunrise hot air balloon with Hot Air Expeditions is a must in our opinion! Spectacular views of the desert and landmarks plus a fun ride in the sky – what’s not to love?!

It’s no secret, we love exploring our beaches and are slowly but surely checking every Southern California coastal city off our list! Laguna Beach is one of our favorite beachside towns for a lot of reasons, but mostly the hidden gem dinner spots, private sandy coves, and sunsets that rival any other. Insider secret: traveling to Laguna Beach in the colder months is just as beautiful without all of the hustle and bustle of the summer tourists! Before you book your getaway, make sure you read our guide on where to stay & where to enjoy the best meals in the OC.

Travel Guide to Laguna Beach

Where to stay:

Travel Guide to Laguna Beach

La Casa Del Camino: This boutique Laguna Beach hotel sure made us feel right at home. With live music and happy hour in the lobby bar every night, and some of the best dining in town right on the hotel grounds, it sure made it hard to ever leave the property! The Spanish style resort kept its historical design throughout the lobby and hallways, but each ocean-inspired room was individually renovated by top designers, making you feel like you’re in the heart of California. Not to mention, right out the back door are stairs that lead to your own (almost) private sparkling beach where you can watch the waves roll in for hours at a time!

Where to dine:

Coastal Kitchen

Coastal Kitchen: Man, did we die and go to food heaven! You can tell this restaurant is built on a passion for food. Each plate had such exquisite flavors that had you wanting to savor every bite. The staff is friendly & inviting and the atmosphere is lively yet comfortable! If you happen to visit be sure to try the Parker House Rolls & Pork Belly Bites. Being from the East Coast, we had high expectations for their Crab Cakes but we are happy to report they were the best Crab Cakes we have ever had. Yes, we said it! We will be visiting this coastal restaurant again and again.

Travel Guide to Laguna Beach

The Rooftop Lounge: Clear skies and sunshine are an everyday forecast in Laguna Beach, and there’s no better way to soak it up other than perched up above La Casa Del Camino at The Rooftop Lounge. Known for their impressive hand-crafted fresh cocktails (hello, mango mojito!), this spot will bring your brunch or happy hour to a whole new level – literally. We recommend sharing a few appetizers, Chef Craig Connole’s creative flair is too good to choose just one!

Kya Bistro Bar: This restaurant’s sophisticated Mediterranean shared plates were truly one of a kind! Located inside of La Casa Del Camino, you have the ambiance of the lively bar and live piano. Each plate is carefully crafted with fresh, local flavors making it tough to choose exactly which dishes to settle on. We must say – the local-sourced seafood here is the best of the best! Our favorites? Hands down, the Blackened Scallops & Risotto and Lobster Mac and Cheese.

Travel Guide to Laguna Beach

Fly ‘N’ Fish Oyster Bar & Grill: We couldn’t help but round out our trip at one of our all-time favorite lunch spots. This ocean-to-fork restaurant is just steps away from the Newport Beach Pier and is conveniently located right on the energetic boardwalk providing the best people watching experience! You can’t visit this spot without getting a half-dozen Fresh Pacific Oysters, some New England Clam Chowder and a refreshing glass of wine. Also, make sure you don’t skip out on the Wild Alaskan Cod Fish Tacos! Come hungry 😉

Los Angeles is near and dear to our hearts, considering most of us live or have lived in the city of dreams. Although lala land is practically in our backyard, an L.A. vacation (or staycation) is always in order! It’s the perfect getaway for any length of time, whether you’ve traveled here or not. With warm weather year-round, trendy restaurants (and coffee shops!), outdoor activities and plenty of shopping – the (blue) sky’s the limit! We teamed up with The Leading Hotels of the World and stayed at some of the best boutique luxury hotels L.A. has to offer. LHW is comprised of more than 375 hotels in 75 countries representing boutique, independent, and uncommon luxury hotels throughout the world. (We can’t wait to try them all! ;)) Without further ado, here is the chic guide to Los Angeles you have all been waiting for, broken up by neighborhood. Focus on one area, or visit them all!

Malibu

Chic Guide to Los Angeles
The Malibu Beach Inn

Where to stay: Malibu is known for some of the prettiest beaches in California. You can imagine our delight when we walked into an oceanfront room at the Malibu Beach Inn complete with a fireplace and private balcony overlooking the shimmering ocean strip along the coast nicknamed “Billionaire’s Beach.” With a room like that it was pretty hard to leave and go exploring, but we managed to get some (salty) fresh air!

Chic Guide to Los Angeles

What to do: There are so many great outdoor activities such as hiking trails, wine tasting, the beach (of course!) and our personal favorite –  complimentary morning yoga classes on Malibu Beach Inn’s private beach. If you are looking for a scrumptious breakfast spot post-yoga, the Malibu Farm at the end of the pier is the place to go. It offers peaceful outdoor seating, delicious coffee, and a front row seat to watch all of the surfers! And if you are looking to enjoy a chic dinner, you’re in luck, because the Carbon Beach Club Restaurant is located on Malibu Beach Inn’s property. With seasonal land and sea menu options, and oceanfront dining, you are guaranteed to have a dazzling experience. Don’t forget to check out Malibu Wines for a yummy tasting and great atmosphere before you leave!

Santa Monica:

Hotel Casa Del Mar

Where to Stay: Moving a little bit further down the coast to sunny Santa Monica, California. Shutters On The Beach is known for their “laid-back California elegance” and they really nailed it! All of the rooms make you feel right at home with wall art and built in entertainment centers that are filled with beachy-chic decor and thoughtfully chosen books. Being the “sister” hotel to Shutters, Hotel Casa Del Mar is literally right next door! This spot use to be a 1920’s exclusive beach club, so you can only imagine the soaring ceiling and dramatic windows that still remain. The decor definitely emulates seaside chic and like its sister hotel, Casa Del Mar also has the built in entertainment centers that give off the comforting homey feel.

Shutters on the Beach

What to do: During your stay at Shutters on the Beach, you can’t miss out on the bicycle rentals, yoga on the beach, and surf lessons that this property offers! We got to enjoy a guided bicycle tour lead by Santa Monica Travel and Tourism up the Santa Monica strand on the cutest blue and orange beach cruisers. To refresh afterwards, pop in to the lobby cocktail area at Shutters for some delicious ceviche.

Dining wise, with dining options like Catch, 1 Pico and the Terrazza Lounge there is something delicious for everyone. Catch Restaurant is as vibrant as the coast it sits on and has the freshest seafood in town! Chef Gemma Gray incorporates her Spanish heritage into the modern American seafood to bring out flavors like you’ve never tasted before! Don’t forget to visit the Terrazza lounge and its panoramic ocean views. We personally loved this spot for breakfast, but it’s busy all day and night. Finish off your evening with some refreshing cocktails at The Bungalow at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel ;).

Beverly Hills:

Mr. C Beverly Hills

Where to Stay: You didn’t think we would end this guide without suggesting a great spot in Beverly Hills, did you? If you have been dying for a trip to Italy, but aren’t ready to venture that far, then Mr. C Beverly Hills is as far as you need to go! Mr. C is filled with Italian history (being owned by the famous Cipriani family) and old European glamour that gives it its modern elegance and Venetian-inspired design. Plus, enjoy incredible views of all of L.A. out your balcony!

The Leading Hotels of the World is also re-opening Hotel Figueroa in L.A. which was just completely renovated and will be open within the next few months! Make sure to keep an eye out 😉

Chic Guide to Los Angeles Chic Guide to Los Angeles
Mr. C Beverly Hills

What to do: There is much to do in Beverly Hills, but start your adventure right at the hotel! One of our favorite parts about Mr. C is that it is home to the original Bellini cocktail (so it’s safe to say we had to try it!). To pair with your Bellini, Mr. C offers some of the best Italian cuisine in the states. They host countless events throughout the year in their ballroom space, which includes 360 degree views of L.A. (and yes the Hollywood sign). Enjoy the pool area in a relaxing cabana or come back at nighttime for a great film during their poolside evening cinema screening series! You can’t leave the 90210 without checking out Rodeo Drive in the heart of Beverly Hills and doing a little shopping (or window shopping) at one of the most famous streets on the globe. Here, high-end designers like Louis Vuitton and Chanel share sidewalks with more budget friendly stores like Pottery Barn and Planet Blue. And don’t forget to cash out with a cupcake from the Sprinkles ATM

For the PNW, the weather isn’t always great for a trip to the vineyards, however, it doesn’t seem to affect the grapes! And now is the perfect time to taste them. Make your way from Seattle or Portland to the beautiful vineyards below – that offer some pretty tasty wines, if we do say so ourselves! – with our wine tasting guide to the Pacific Northwest. Grab a glass and enjoy the long days and mild climate.

Chateau Ste. Michelle

Just 45 minutes outside of Seattle is Chateau Ste. Michelle’s winery, home to plenty of delicious wines and picnic spots to enjoy them! We recommend a glass of Chardonnay or a bit of bubbly. The century old location is also a great spot for a tour!

Columbia Winery

Once you’ve finished kicking off your wine tour at Chateau Ste. Michelle, head right across the street to Columbia Winery. Order a flatbread pizza, meat & cheese plate, and bottle of rosé of course! Sit inside for the life music or out on the patio if the weather’s nice.

Hedges Family Estate

This lush estate couldn’t feel more removed from city life and with its countryside villa essence in front of rolling hills of vines (sigh!). Tanks a large group and enjoy a unique tasting experience in one of the dining style rooms.

Next, head to Oregon (or start there) in their very own wine country, Willamette Valley. You’ll find plenty of wineries to explore right outside of Portland. First on our list? Eyrie Vineyards. Stop by this quaint tasting room for an affordable and memorable flight.

Then, head a few minutes South to Brooks. Come for the wine, stay for the BBQ. Not only is everything to eat and drink here delicious but you also get to enjoy it in big comfy leather furniture. Cheers to that!

Where are your favorite Pacific Northwest Wineries?!

Since the sun shines pretty much year-round in Southern California, outdoor dining is easy to come by. In the summertime it’s our preferred way of eating out (see what we did there?). So, we rounded up 25 (and this is only skimming the surface!) of our favorite outdoor SoCal restaurants to spend your summer at. They boast great food and even better views. So, start making your way down the list and hit every last one by summer’s end!

Malibu Farm, Malibu: What better view could you ask for than the Pacific Ocean, a swarm of surfers riding the waves, and a vintage pier? Each corner of the restaurant and cafe is gram-ready with a nautical-chic, modern, whitewashed vintage vibe.

El Prez Beach Bar & Cocina, Pacific Beach: El Prez is known for their rooftop, right off the boardwalk, that overlooks Pacific Beach. Their gourmet tacos are made with fresh, local ingredients and served in house-made tortillas; perfect to pair with a fresh margarita at sunset!

Gracias Madre, West Hollywood: This plant based and 100% organic restaurant’s outdoor seating area more than doubles the indoor seating capacity. Colorful cushions, stylish tilework and cascading, potted plants make the whole place feel like something out of a high-design Mexican home magazine.

The Deck, Laguna Beach: Just steps away from the sand, The Deck is unique oceanfront dining experience in Laguna Beach. Grab a table and stay a while to enjoy their creative cocktails, fresh seafood, and live music!

The Strand House, Manhattan Beach: With 180° sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and Manhattan Beach Strand, world travelers and locals alike gather around for the view. Each week, their world renowned chefs roam the local California farmers markets sourcing seasonal produce directly from the best farmers in town.

The Cottage, La Jolla: We happen to be big weekend brunch fans around here, and The Cottage knows how to do it well. Built in the early 1900s, The Cottage serves up an exceptional breakfast and lunch on a sun-drenched patio. The stuffed french toast and trademark granola are well worth the weekend wait!

A post shared by E.P. & L.P. (@eplosangeles) on

E.P. & L.P. Rooftop Bar, West Hollywood: With spectacular views of the hills and the hollywood basin, E.P. & L.P is one of the largest format roof decks in LA. It’s one of our favorite places to head to enjoy the sunset or have a late night snack and glass of wine around the fire pit after a long day at work!

Zaytoon, Santa Barbara: A local Santa Barbara favorite, Zaytoon is an oasis where you can experience fresh and tasty Lebanese cuisine. Out on a garden, perfect to enjoy with special guests, you can experience the sounds of a waterfall, the glow of little lights and the warmth of fire.

The Stonehaus, Westlake Village: From the outdoor pizza oven to the live music and wine flights, the outdoor area at The Stonehaus is no disappointment! This Westlake Village winery was modeled after a cobblestone-filled Tuscan country estate and makes you feel as though you’re right in the heart of Italy!

Tidal, San Diego Mission Bay: A fire pit-dotted deck, communal tables, cozy lounge furniture and a savory menu of shared plates beckon casual group gatherings and lively conversation - though the 180° views of Mission Bay might just leave you at a loss for words!

The Cabana Cafe at The Beverly Hills Hotel, Beverly Hills: One of the most unique spots in L.A. to dine alfresco, the Cabana Cafe serves breakfast all day, fresh salads, wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches, burgers and smoothies in a casual-chic poolside environment.

Perch, Downtown Los Angeles: Another one of our all time favorites, Perch is incredibly unique at every turn. A French inspired rooftop bistro offers unobstructed views of Downtown Los Angeles, and makes it feel as though you are truly floating at the skyline!

Mediterraneo, Westlake Village: Mediterraneo brings the culinary excellence and stylish atmosphere of a European bistro to beautiful Westlake Village. Surrounded by romantic gardens, vineyards and a private lake, Mediterraneo is a favorite around here for weekday happy hour.

Beachcomber Cafe, Newport Coast: An Orange County long time locals favorite, Beachcomber Cafe is California cuisine in a 50s-inspired beachy setting with spectacular ocean views since you are literally right on the sand.

C Level, San Diego: Resting on stilts atop San Diego Bay and overlooking the city skyline of Coronado, C Level has one of the best views in all of San Diego. Our favorite time to go? Catch the end of happy hour and stay for the sunset over the water.

The Bungalow, Huntington Beach: Our favorite spot to visit on Sunday afternoons, the venue’s rustic and vintage interior design, expansive ocean views and uniquely curated spaces are complemented by a refreshing menu of signature cocktails and exclusive bites from culinary partner Bear Flag Fish Co.

Mohawk Bend, Echo Park: A retrofitted 100-year old Vaudeville theater, Mohawk Bend now uses only California ingredients to create pizzas, seasonal salads, elevated pub food, and delicious desserts that appeal to vegans, vegetarians, and meat-lovers alike.

Cliff’s Edge, Silver Lake: A hidden gem off Sunset Blvd, Cliff’s Edge is truly known to be Silver Lake’s best kept secret. An outdoor, leafy, romantic patio makes this Californian eatery a go-to for both a one-of-a-kind brunch or a romantic dinner.

Geoffrey’s, Malibu: Enjoy magnificent views of the Pacific coastline complemented by waterfalls and tropical plants to create a romantic Mediterranean meets Malibu atmosphere. The space is designed so that every table in the house has a panoramic view of the ocean – yes please!

Schooner or Later, Long Beach: The waterfront diner serving breakfast and lunch for 30 years over, and also seen on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” is a must-visit. Schooner or Later is a casual and laid back local fave. Next time you’re craving a true American brunch, this is your pick!

Skyloft, Laguna Beach: Perched on the Southern California Riviera, Skyloft is Laguna Beach’s hottest new restaurant with fantastic smokehouse meats, the freshest seafood, and live music 5 nights a week. Skyloft is THE gathering place for getting together with old friends and meeting new friends in a hip, fun setting.

Palmilla, Hermosa Beach: With a lovely outdoor patio area, perfect for soaking up the sea breezes from the ocean just footsteps away, Palmilla is a favorite for a mix between fine-dining and home-style Mexican cuisine. Don’t forget the margaritas or watermelon coolers!

Hello Betty Fish House, Oceanside: Hello Betty Fish provides a visual reflection of the local, eclectic characters of Oceanside’s beach life. Their menus reflect an updated spin on classic Baja SoCal beachside favorites such as margaritas and fish tacos, using only the most fresh and local ingredients and seafood. Hit the rooftop for one of the best views in town!

Ballast Point, Long Beach: A San Diego native comes north! The beautiful, and massive, new location provides sweeping views of the shoreline thanks to one entire wall of glass. There’s even a teak wood patio at the far end, taking advantage of the ample sun and salty air. Sit back, relax, and sip on one of their many cold brews.

Harvest, Laguna Beach: With patio views of the golf course and a sweeping canyon, Harvest invites guests to get caught up in the world of a Laguna local that’s off the beaten path in every sense. Open at 7am, beat the crowd and head to OC’s newest and buzziest culinary experiences for brunch!
