For us, it was lounging on our private balcony with morning coffee and soaking up the outdoor hydro spa after a long day in the sun.

Every room feels like its own mini sanctuary. Whether you’re celebrating something big or just overdue for a little “me” time, this is the kind of place that makes every day feel like a special occasion. 

We stayed in a Rock Suite Ocean Front connecting suite, which had more than enough space for each of our team members to relax, all while enjoying the sound of the ocean waves right from our window. With high-speed wireless internet included in our stay, we were able to get work done when we needed and unplug once tasks were done!

For those looking to elevate their experience further, the Rock Royalty Level offers exclusive perks designed to make every guest feel like a VIP.  From a dedicated concierge ready to orchestrate everything from romantic surprises to spa reservations to priority access to Balinese beds, every detail is covered.

The Pools

If lazy days by the pool are what you’re craving, you’re in luck – Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos has six (yes, six!) pools to choose from, and each has its own vibe. We loved starting our mornings at the Rhythm Pool where it’s all peace and quiet– perfect for enjoying books, morning coffee, and the Los Cabos sun. Then after snacking on poolside tacos, we were ready to trade our lattes for cocktails because the Pulse Pool was calling. With upbeat music, swim-up bars, and plenty of space to lounge, it’s the perfect spot to spend a sunny afternoon. Whether you want to sip cocktails, relax in a cabana, or float around with zero agenda, there are plenty of options —including an adults-only pool. iHonestly, we recommend trying them all.

The Food

If you think all-inclusive dining means sacrificing quality, Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos will change your mind. With globally inspired menus and immersive dining experiences, every meal feels thoughtful and delicious—from poolside snacks to multi-course dinners. With seven restaurants ranging from Asian fusion to traditional Italian cuisine, every bite is a standout.

One of our favorite nights was dinner at Zen’s teppanyaki experience, where it was dinner and a show. Flavorful Chinese and Japanese dishes are prepared right in front of you, with plenty of laughs and fun along the way. If you’re looking for a more relaxed vibe, our dinner at Toro was cozy while still feeling the upscale atmosphere with perfectly cooked steak and enough wine to go around. 

And, of course, you can’t do Cabo without tacos and margaritas. Our go-to for that? Los Gallos, which is right by the pools and serves traditional Mexican cuisine. Nachos, tacos, chips, guac, and margaritas flowed like a dream. Whether you’re up for a long, lingering dinner or quick bites between pool sessions, there’s always something good waiting for you here. 

The Activities

After a full day soaking up the sun and indulging in delicious eats, the fun doesn’t stop at Hard Rock—it only gets better. The property is packed with nighttime activities designed to keep the energy high. Whether you’re in the mood for live entertainment or testing your skills in an escape room, there’s something for everyone to enjoy after hours.

Our team enjoyed hitting up the bowling alley for some friendly competition, and let’s just say—we uncovered some unexpected pros in our crew. Between the strikes, laughs, and a little bit of healthy rivalry, it was the perfect way to wind down and bond as a team. Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos really knows how to keep the party going without having to leave the resort.

The Spa

If your idea of vacation includes pampering (because ours definitely does), The Rock Spa is the place for you. The Rock Spa covers an expansive 30,000 square feet of the property and is home to 36 treatment rooms and a full hydrotherapy center with whirlpools, a steam room, and a sauna.

Our spa morning started with their Hydrotherapy Experience, which included a circuit of steam rooms, saunas, cold plunges, and heated pools that had us feeling refreshed and fully relaxed before we even got to our treatments.

From there, we each picked a massage, and the 50-minute deep tissue massage quickly became a favorite. It was the perfect mix of relaxing and effective, the kind of massage that makes you forget about everything else and just be. If “treat yourself” is your vacation motto, let the Rock Spa staff treat you all vacation long.

The on-site culinary garden was the perfect spot, surrounded by towering trees, blooming vegetation, and even a chicken coop (yes, those hens lay the eggs that guests eat on property!). We worked with All You Need is Love Events and TBD San Diego to plan and design a beautiful Mezcaleria-themed cocktail hour, complete with agave accents and layered textures to set the tone for the weekend. And in between connecting with each other and going for another drink, Cat Lauren Calligraphy was on site in the garden doing live engraving for each of our guests!”

“Once cups ran dry, guests settled into their private Spanish-style casitas — a hacienda-style suite outfitted with classic Rancho Valencia charm. Each room has a private garden patio overlooking the olive groves and surrounding canyons of the Rancho Santa Fe area!”

The 5,860 square foot residence is perfect for large family getaways, or even weddings with it’s expansive backyard! We took the gorgeous outdoor space to our advantage by dreaming up a citrus inspired brunch for our guests to enjoy a delicious gourmet breakfast + mimosa by the pool. One of the best parts of the morning was Moses Lin serenading us with his trademark ‘traveling acoustic guitar’ tunes!”

“After dining beneath a custom build and beautiful hanging flowers, guests were directed to a gifting wall where they were able to ‘shop’ their favorite goodies — ranging from Rancho Valencia merch, to cocktail shakers, to makeup from Lawless Beauty! “The evening continued with an extraordinary 9-course tasting menu in the Sunrise Room, which was transformed into an intimate, moody setting. TBD San Diego adorned the room with velvet drapery and sprawling greenery to make things feel cozy with just the right amount of drama. Each course was a carefully crafted celebration of seasonal flavors, with artful presentations and wine pairings that highlighted Rancho Valencia’s commitment to culinary excellence. Warm Welcomes + Cocktail Hour Kick-off

“With a guest list that consisted of busy planners and event designers, we designed our entire stay with Rosewood to put our guests on the receiving end of what they are usually working on. For an impactful first impression, we started with beautifully designed stationery from our friends at Minted Weddings! It was important to us that everyone could have a sneak peek into what was in store, so we worked with Minted to curate an invitation suite that was on brand with all of the events that we would be hosting. The day that guests arrived, we kicked things off with an intimate cocktail hour in the evening that gave everyone the chance to connect with each other and unwind from their travels. Each guest was sent back to their room with a custom toiletry bag from The Handkerchief Shop that had their initials on it. On the inside, there was one more surprise: a custom embroidered handkerchief for every guest!”

Private Tour with Theoni Rentals

“After enjoying a slow morning, we sent our guests to hop into Jump on The School Bus, which took them to a private tour at the Theoni Rentals headquarters! Each of our events involved linens and rental pieces curated from Theoni, so we were excited to give everyone the opportunity to take a look at their rental collection and enjoy one on one connection with the Theoni team. ”

Bocce Baby!

“In the afternoon, everyone gathered at Rosewood’s Bocce Ball court for a little friendly competition! After an instructor from the property showed our guests the ropes, we split off into teams and penciled names into a tournament bracket. It was so sweet watching everyone get connected over an activity as fun and simple as Bocce. While teams waited for their turn, we had Bocce themed cocktails being served at the bar. Guests could also head over to the lawn where Truly Madly Ink was set up for a fun on-site activation, giving guests personalized champagne and engraved coasters to take home!”

Cocktail Hour on the Great Lawn

“At dusk guests headed down to the great lawn where we had a moody-meets-whimsical cocktail hour party set up for some pre-dinner celebrations. The bar was brought to life with an enchanting butterfly wallpaper from Rocky Mountain Decals that stretched across the custom built bar wall by Bella Vista Designs. After picking up their first drink for the night, guests found their table number at a seating chart that displayed custom watercolor portraits for each of our guests. Each portrait was hand painted by the talented Jennie Lou Art, who was also doing a live painting of the property during cocktail hour! We knew the atmosphere wouldn’t be complete without live music, so we had a live violinist from On The Beat Music Agency serenading everyone with classical renditions of our favorite pop songs– all with a classic California sunset as our backdrop.”

Private Dinner in the Rosewood Ballroom

“Our grand finale of the trip was held at the Rosewood Ballroom, where a cascading trail of flickering candle votives from Vogue Candles welcomed guests into an intimate private dinner space. Bella Vista Designs crafted a custom build using slats that wrapped around the perimeter of the room, working seamlessly with the lighting to create striking shadowplay throughout the entire space. Their custom build really turned the ballroom into a space that was unrecognizable from its beginnings. Rather than using traditional flowers for our centerpieces, All You Need is Love Events chose to design the tablescape without any florals. Instead, they commissioned Ojala Floral to work their magic and adorn the space with hanging blooms that stretched across the entire ceiling. Ashley of Ojala Floral used a selection of flowers from Fifty Flowers and greenery from East Texas Smilax as her artist’s palette. She even went as far as foraging extra greenery herself, using no styrofoam for the entire installation– making each of her pieces totally sustainable for the environment. Guests enjoyed their three course dinner to more beautiful live music from On The Beat Music Agency. Their musicians played perfectly to each moment during the entire evening.”

Morning Send-off

“We couldn’t send the group off without some rest + recharge before their travels home, so we finished our stay on the Spa deck, where guests could enjoy some morning bites before taking on a hot/cold plunge, recouping with Liquid Hydration IVs, or recharging with red light therapy from Restore Hyper Wellness. As a farewell gift, Shinery provided our guests with their best selling jewelry wash for easy at home jewelry care!”

“Since our trip has ended, we’ve recognized that our team was able to be fully present to execute production tasks and take care of guests during our stay– we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy every moment without having BTS Bride with us, capturing everything organically while we focused on the nitty gritty! We are so thankful for All You Need is Love Events team for turning our visions into reality so flawlessly. We can’t wait for the next one!”

We started our mornings at the resort’s state-of-the-art gym before heading off to enjoy an all-you-can-eat style breakfast buffet. Our go-to grabs were the green juices and chilaquiles– truly to die for. 

After that, it was straight into swimsuits so that we could dip into one of Unico’s three ultra-luxe pools, one of which has a swim-up bar fully stocked so that you can order your favorite drink of choice (a skinny margarita on the rocks for us, please). We can proudly say that our daily resort routine was sunbathe > swim > drink > repeat. For a change of scenery, guests are also able to enjoy a quieter setting with lounge chairs on the sand, just steps away from the property’s pool area. If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, Unico offers a rotation of daily excursions including snorkeling and aqua-spin classes!

The Cuisine

Foodies, rejoice! Unico 20º 87º Riviera Maya takes all-inclusive culinary experiences to a whole new level. With a variety of restaurants showcasing both local and international flavors, there’s something for every craving you might have while on vacay. Guests are able to enjoy restaurant options ranging from elevated fine dining to casual beach side cooking, both of which use locally sourced ingredients that bring unforgettable flavor to each dish.

During our long and lazy afternoons, we opted for enjoying lunch à la pool-side-service, with fish tacos, chips, and salsa on steady rotation–never without a drink in hand. For one of our dinners, our local host booked us reservations at Cueva Siete, which served traditional Mexican recipes reinvented with a contemporary twist. Our server brought out his favorite dishes for us to try, each one better than the last! To end the night on a high note, our server prepared each of us with a beautifully presented Mexican hot chocolate, spiked with smooth liquor and topped with homemade whipped cream. Nothing short of perfection.

One of the biggest stresses of staying at a beach resort is having to set your alarm to wake at the crack of dawn to be able to find a spot to claim as your own by the pool. During the first two days of our stay, a few of the options included beach volleyball, a painting class, HIIT by the pool, a mixology class, circus performances, and live musicians – and that’s not even a complete list! Some restaurants including Mina, a classic steakhouse, Tokimeku, serving up sushi and hibachi, and Blue Agave, offering Mexican fare. You’ll have plenty of options to satisfy your every craving. If we had to pick one must-visit spot, make it Flora. Flora offers zero kilometer modern Dominican cuisine, and every single menu item is worth ordering. You truly can’t go wrong with any of their options! 

There are also several bars available on-site serving up delicious cocktails and mocktails! One spot you’ll definitely want to check out is Ginger. Ginger has a prime location right inside the beautiful lobby and serves both amazing cocktails and specialty coffee drinks. Side note – did you know the Dominican is known for its incredible coffee?! Get the best of both worlds with an espresso martini after dinner while you lounge and enjoy the live entertainment every evening!

More about our stay,

We stayed in a suite, which included a master bedroom and attached master bathroom with a tub. The living room had a 2nd bathroom, a pull out couch, mini refrigerator and tons of closet storage with hangers – ideally it would be perfect for a family of 4-5, but we made it work as a family of 6. The outdoor pool hotel was a great way for the kids to burn off some energy at the end of the day.

You can’t beat this hotel’s location. Being that it’s in the heart of townsquare, everything is walkable – the coffee shops, the souvenir stores, and all the restaurants. The famous arches with the antlers and park is also right across the street, which is another great way to burn off some of the kid’s energy.

Our trip highlights included,

Every summer night, they feature a western play. While we were there, they performed, “Annie Get Your Gun” with a western “shoot out”. It was viewable from the rooftop of The Cloudveil, where we had drinks and pre dinner snacks.  

The Bistro restaurant inside of The Cloudveil was incredible. They easily made accommodations to our diet, which include gluten-free and dairy-free substitutions. It was an amazing experience and we’d definitely go back to The Bistro.

From the moment we arrived, the service was incredible. From valet, to the front desk, to the pool attendant, their service was unmatched. 

The Cloudveil set up an EcoTours sunset ride for us one evening. This was our favorite part of the trip!  Our tour guide, Verlin, was incredible. He knew exactly where to take us, and knew so much about the park. Verlin brought us on an off-road tour with private views of lakes and wildlife. On our entire adventure, we were able to see : bison, a cow (mother moose) and her calf, pronghorn, elk, a bull moose drinking in a pond, and even a grizzly bear with her 3 cubs. It was as incredible as it sounds! This is a must do in Jackson.

Because The Cloudveil is roughly an hour south of Yellowstone National Park, we decided to make the drive on another day of our trip to Wyoming. We took the kids to see the Old Faithful geysers and they were in awe. We saw black bears, hiked and were fully immersed in nature. Every family has to visit Yellowstone. It was a trip that we will never forget and we cannot wait to go back!!
