You know what they say, “Go big or go home,” and when it comes to a first birthday party, why not make it unforgettable? With Kolby Bowman of Amanda Reed Weddings leading the way, Mila’s carousel-themed celebration was filled with charm. Envision dreamy florals, whimsical details, and the perfect amount of magic, making you fall in love with every thoughtful touch.

From The Planner

“There’s something so magical about a baby’s first birthday – and Mila’s was no exception. Designing this celebration alongside the team at Samantha’s Garden was a true dream. We envisioned a whimsical carousel theme filled with soft pastel hues, lush florals, and charming details that felt straight out of a fairytale.”

The Planner Shares,

“The party was held at Samantha’s Garden’s flagship venue in Springdale, which set the perfect backdrop for this floral wonderland. Every design element was intentionally chosen: linens from BBJ La Tavola, and Choice Party Linens, elegant wooden chairs from Alchemy Event Rentals, and stunning backdrops by Post Party Co. Our florals were woven throughout the space – from delicate tabletop arrangements to full floor installs that brought the room to life.”

The Planner Continues,

“A carousel mural from Atelier Choux Paris inspired the design, accented by a dreamy balloon installation from Confetti NWA and sweet signage by Dayflower Designs. Mila’s cake by Shelby Lynn’s Cakes perfectly echoed the theme, and treats from Butter and Blooms and Betty’s Berrys added an extra layer of sweetness.

Kids enjoyed the bounce house and soft play zone by Bunny Hop Mobile, while adults adored the nostalgic charm of our custom Kotton and Kandy Cart. Mila’s smash cake moment – framed by florals and love – was a highlight for everyone.”

The Planner Concludes,

“The day was beautifully captured by Seathompson Photography and Dave and a Camera, with Love That Social & Liv Ella Films creating fun content to relive the magic.

This day was so much more than just a birthday. It was a celebration of life, family, and the love that surrounds Mila every single day.”

Mila’s first birthday was the kind of celebration you never forget – full of love, laughter, and the sweetest little details. This dreamy girl’s baby shower was everything you could image – and more, with every detail blooming into pure perfection! Designed by the talented A Good Affair, the Baby In Bloom theme came to life with soft pink hues, gorgeous florals, and delicate touches that felt both feminine and sophisticated. From the delicious brunch spread to fun games and a picture-perfect backdrop for gift opening, this little girl’s baby shower was unforgettable. Keep reading to discover how A Good Affair brought Emily’s vision to life in the most beautiful way!

The Planner Shares,

“Emily’s sister-in-law hired us to bring to life an adorable feminine shower for Emily and her baby girl! Baby in Bloom was the theme and I wanted to use girly yet sophisticated shades of blush, dusty rose, and petal pink. The linen was the cornerstone of the design with a gorgeous floral print from Luxe Linens. We created a backdrop that perfectly matched the palette with balloons and the cutest cake. Guests were greeted with tray passed mimosas and brunch bites of mini quiches, crab cakes, beef wellington, and mini shrimp cocktails. The brunch was catered by Blueberry Hill and guests enjoyed a live action crepe station, fresh fruit and pastries, and other delicious savory brunch favorites. “

The Planner Continues,

“We created custom games for guests to play and had a baby-block color station for guests to get creative for sweet Lyla Grace! Emily opened her gifts in front of a pretty backdrop of balloons and blooms. The shower was so sweet and special for Emily and it was such an honor to get to design it and wow her as she is a professional planner herself.

Ready to step into a whimsical fairy tale? This whimsical fairy party is filled with magic, joy, and all the dreamy details you could imagine! With the amazing Pass the Pastel Events leading the way, this styled shoot brought to life a beautiful floral garden bursting with pastel hues, delicate butterflies, and mossy accents. From the adorable fairy wings to the delicious mocktails, every corner of this whimsical fairy party strikes the perfect balance of fun and elegance. Whether it’s the charming mushroom decor or the sweet floral fencing, this party is packed with inspiration for anyone dreaming of creating their own enchanted celebration.

From The Planner

“For this styled shoot, I orchestrated every detail with the whimsy and wonder of our four-year-old’s birthday party in mind. I chose a fairy floral garden theme, which perfectly matched my love for all things floral. The concept was built around abundant florals, moss accents, enchanting butterfly decor, and a dreamy palette of pink and purple hues.”

The Planner Continues,

“The look truly came together when I discovered these beautiful teak and velvet mushrooms. They added the perfect touch of enchantment to the overall design. I wanted to strike a balance that would appeal to children and adults, and this was achieved with whimsical butterfly motifs, pastel color schemes, vibrant balloon garlands, and sophisticated touches like chic mocktails, floral fencing, and bold tablescapes.”

“The mocktails not only looked gorgeous but were also delicious! By choosing mocktails, I made sure guests of all ages could join in the fun. The models, dressed as ethereal fairies, embodied the spirit of childhood joy as they played with fairy wands and shared flowers.”

The Planner Reflects,

“Fairy details were sprinkled throughout the event – from charming fairy benches and ladders adorning the cake (who wouldn’t want to hang out on top of a cake?) to the delicate fairy wings worn by models. A particularly magical element was the white picket fence that adorned the venue, reminiscent of cottage-core gardens where blooms peek through. This vision came to life thanks to my collaboration with Kimberly from Chloe Rose Design, creating a truly enchanting entrance.”

“Finally, Megan from Cousin Cookie created adorable cookies that perfectly matched the invitation design by Tati Abaurre. My favorite was the sweet little bunny cookie!”

“This event was a true labor of love, and I couldn’t be happier with how the final design turned out. It’s a true testament to the creativity and dedication of everyone involved – it was a real team effort!”

Oh deer! This woodland themed 1st birthday party is too cute to miss! As an event planner mom, Yoko of Two Perfect Events knew just how to celebrate her daughter Noa’s first birthday. Inspired by Noa’s adoration for their family dog Koko, who bears a striking resemblance to a fawn, Two Perfect Events transformed their space into a playful English countryside adorned with magic and deer! The deer themed birthday party was a perfect fit for their whimsical little one. Read on to see all of the enchanting details for this first birthday party!

The planner shares,

“A playful backdrop by Boho Loko Studio featured some of Noa’s treasured stuffed animals from Cuddle + Kind, complemented by balloons, butterflies, and the same deer featured on the invitation.”

The planner continues,

“The invitation set the tone with a picnic basket with a pink gingham ribbon as the cover to open up to a fun deer & picnic themed invitation with a photo of Noa in a deer outfit. Everything at the party matched both the colors of the invitation as well as the designs.”

“The party was filled with golden kiwis (Noa’s favorite fruit) painted with a deer print along with disco balls and pink butterflies scattered about. Guests were greeted at the welcome table by an array of fruits and a delicate floral arrangement, with the opportunity to sign the wooden ‘N’ as a cherished keepsake – now displayed in Noa’s room.”

“There was a safe play area, where Noa’s friends could play with inflatable disco balls & other toys. The parents could enjoy both alcoholic & non-alcoholic slushies and other beverages but TÖST was a big hit as a non-alcoholic champagne option that still felt like an adult drink! For lunch, the adults could enjoy a build-your-own poke bowl station & sushi (a nod to Noa’s Japanese background) along with some baby friendly foods. The lunch table for Noa and her friends was transformed into a picturesque picnic spot, complete with a sweet & playful floral arrangement by Seva Floral, a leaf green gingham tablecloth, felt toy cookies in tiny baskets, sippy wine cups, wooden utensils, scalloped (unbreakable!) bamboo plates, and napkins sourced from the UK.”

“Our guests were gifted magnet favors which could display mini polaroid photos taken with the backdrop. On their way out, there was a selection of fruits that they could pick from baskets. It was a joyous celebration filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments, marking the beginning of many more magical adventures for our little Noa.”

If you are looking for more enchanting celebrations, make sure you check out this Whimsical Flowers and Mushroom Themed Birthday Party!

02. Build A Blanket Fort

Image via Pinterest

No matter how old you get, blanket forts are always a fun way to spend an evening. The best part is….you have everything you need to build a fort right at home! All you need is chairs, pillows, and of course, plenty of blankets. Have your kids pick out their favorite movies and prepare yourself for the movie marathon of a lifetime!

03. Have A Baking Day

It’s pretty much a given that kids are huge fans of sweets. Prepare to make the day even sweeter, and bake everyone’s favorite treats. It’s always a fun time in the kitchen, and decorating the desserts will be the cherry on top!

04. Paint Snow

Image via Pinterest

If you are lucky enough to be graced with snow this season, you have to take advantage of it. First, grab some spray bottles and fill them with water and food coloring. From there, you can make a contained mess and grab some snow from outside. Place the snow on some plates, set up a painting station, and begin spraying!

05. Make Snow Globes

If your kids are the artsy type, they’ll be swooning over this activity. Snow globes are mesmerizing on their own, but making them yourself? Even better. For this activity, all you’ll need is a jar, superglue, glitter, plastic figurines, and a glue gun. Once you have your supplies, read these instructions, and you’ll be on your way to the cutest snow globe ever!

Whether you’re going stir crazy or just looking for some fun indoor activities, your kids will appreciate it. Don’t get too discouraged by the winter snow; indoor activities can be just as fun!

You might assume that after having 2 kids you’d have all the gear and product needed for a third… but the truth is, that 3rd baby changes everything! Instead of quiet mornings of coffee and cuddles on the couch with a newborn, you’re facing an entire day of endless multitasking in addition to all that newborn care. Our biggest tip? Invest in products that offer mobility, since chances are the moment you settle on the couch to feed baby, your toddler is going to need the potty. Or a snack. Or will choose that time to climb to the top of your entertainment center. Flexibility and mobility are the key to surviving the transition from 2 to 3. Take a look below at some of our tried and true lifesaving products on our prep list for baby #3!

Coterie Diapers and Wipes on our Prep List with Baby #3

After 4+ years of diaper changing and trying virtually every brand of diaper and wipe on the market we’ve found *the one*. First, they offer subscription services! Read: diapers show up at your front door when you need them. No more 10 pm emergency grocery runs because you didn’t realize you were almost out. Automating what you can is game-changing with baby #3! We also love these diapers because they do the research for you – they’re 3rd party to ensure harsh chemicals and irritants are never included.

They’re the most absorbent diaper we’ve ever used, so much so we can just use the same diaper for nighttime! And because they absorb so well it has helped cut down on diaper rash. Now for their wipes… they are the largest and most dense wipes on the market!! I mean, if that doesn’t make you want them do you even have kids?! We kid… but really, they are made of 99% water, fully compostable in a few weeks (vs. the years other wipes take), and are the first to be certified by our favorite clean-living resource the Environmental Working Group. And did we mention they deliver??

Ergobaby Carrier

Babywearing is life. Repeat, babywearing is life. If there’s ever a time to invest in a quality carrier, it’s now because chances are your new baby will spend almost all of your waking hours snuggled up close to you and keeping your hands free. We’ve tried a lot of carriers over the years, and have landed on our 2 favorites – Omni Breeze and Embrace. We love that the Omni is an all-in-one that can be adjusted from newborn to toddlerhood. Anyone who has experienced hours of babywearing also knows that having a carrier that breathes is key. Two bodies pressed against each other can get pretty sweaty, y’all!

It also offers forward-facing capability, which is absolutely key for when your newborn baby becomes a curious baby. We also love the Embrace by Ergo, which combines the coziness of a soft wrap with the simplicity and comfort of a structured carrier. When you need to get your baby close and cozy quickly (AKA: one of your toddlers needs you ASAP) this is what we reach for because it doesn’t require any wrapping or tying.

Veer Cruiser on our Prep List with Baby #3

By now you’ve made an investment in a stroller or double stroller, and thankfully most can last you through the years! But we have a new hack for you – a wagon! With older kids chances are you’ll be going on more adventures (picnics, pumpkin patches, beach days, etc) and bringing your newborn along for the ride. We love the versatility the wagon offers – it’s all-terrain with wheels that can handle sand and off-roading, it can be pushed or pulled, older kids can easily climb in and out on their own, and it comes with adaptors that you can easily plug your infant car seat into. Bonus: it weighs less than most double strollers! Perfect for hauling around a gaggle of kids.

Elvie Pump

If breastfeeding is in your mom-life plan, chances are so is pumping. We are SO excited that in between our 2nd and 3rd babes Elvie has come out with a hands-free pump! Anyone who has had to sit and pump knows how game-changing being hands-free and mobile during this tedious process is. Its quiet and sleek design means it fits right into your bra and can be worn while playing with your kids at the park, feeding your toddler dinner, working at your desk, making snacks/packing lunches and so on. It also comes with smart app capabilities so you can control and track everything from your phone.  And in even more exciting news, TODAY Elvie has launched the Elvie Stride pump available through insurance, making this magic gadget available to even more moms.

Snuggle Me Lounger and Feeding Pillow

In case you haven’t noticed a theme here, we love products that are mobile and can move around with a baby. There will be times when you need to put the baby down, and having a portable lounger is key! Cart it from your toddlers’ room to the kitchen, even outside! This way your baby always has a cuddly place to lounge or work on tummy time. A feeding pillow is another essential and Snuggle Me is our fave! The narrow ends allow it to fit more comfortably while nursing, plus we can use this pillow for tummy time or sitting up support. All Snuggle Me products are made with organic fabric… not to mention are super chic!

Little Unicorn Diaper Bag Backpack on our Prep List with Baby #3

Friend, if you haven’t already made the switch to a backpack diaper bag, with baby #3 on the way – now is the time! We are so so so thankful stylish companies like The Little Unicorn have added backpacks to the repertoire! Trust us, when you’re at the park, the grocery store, the airport, etc and have a baby strapped to you plus two toddler hands to hold – you want all your baby necessities securely out of the way! This backpack was made for moms – two sizable compartments, lots of pockets, padded shoulder straps, the inside and outside are easy to wipe clean and all without sacrificing style.

Still on baby #2? Well, don’t worry we have rounded up all of our favorite items on our prep list with baby #2!

We can’t be the only ones that looked at the calendar in awe of how quickly Easter approached this year, so if you are anything like us, shopping Amazon Prime is a no brainer solution to our procrastination problem – Hey, we get it, we’re all busy nothing to be ashamed of! Scroll on to view the 5 items we bought from Amazon for our kid’s Easter baskets! Bonus points for us because all of this is reusable if you have kids young enough they won’t remember what last year’s basket entailed! And while you are at it, run to your local Trader Joe’s, and pick up some long stem carrots and mini daisies to really tie the whole look together. Trust us, your IG story will thank you!

The Basket Itself

We know, you probably don’t have a basket for Easter yet, or if you do have one it’s not quite up to par. Not to worry we are here to solve this problem with this adorable oval Willow Basket that happens to be the perfect size to be used year after year!

Easter Egg Ornaments

If you are like us then you probably don’t love the idea of giving the kiddos candy-filled Easter eggs. The sugar rush that follows Easter is not worth the excitement. And, the hard-boiled eggs are great, but if they crack we know we will be cleaning up a mega mess! Opt for these adorable Easter Egg Ornaments this year in your kid’s Easter basket!

Decorative Beads

We have been eyeing these decorative beads for some time now! We will give you the excuse we used to pull the trigger – if not now, then when?

Peter Rabbit Book

If your kids don’t already have a Peter Rabbit book then nows the time to get one! The opportunity to turn Easter into a sweet lesson is a win in our books! No pun intended.

Plush Stuffed Rabbit

What kid doesn’t love a plush stuffed animal? Not only does this rabbit make the sweetest momento, but it happens to be the perfect size to add some depth to your kid’s Easter basket. Trust us it will be the sweetest finishing touch!
