“The heart behind this Inspired By Motherhood event was to take care of moms emotionally and physically. I wanted to provide them with tools that will support their motherhood journey. With Mother’s Day approaching, we wanted to give them a break from their everyday duties as a mom, to be inspired and find community. We did just that. We took care of our mamas and I’m so grateful for the team that helped us pull it off. It was no small feat, and I’m proud of what we came together to do.”

“With Mother’s Day right around the corner, we knew we wanted to celebrate our motherhood community with an unforgettable brunch full of chic decor, custom gifting, and one extra special surprise no one saw coming!

We hosted 30 moms of all different stages – from first-time pregnant mamas, to mamas with teeny newborns at home, to mamas with kids heading into middle school. This intimate celebration focused on giving each mom a moment to feel appreciated and pampered. Our incredible photographer, Lisette Gatliff, and videographer, JuiceBox Media, captured every little detail. They, along with planner, Gianna San Filippo, carefully curated every moment for this event at The Revery. 

When guests arrived, they kicked off the festivities by treating themselves to mocktails, out of Hoddebros‘s adorable Airstream! Guests stepped into the space and found an explosion of color, thanks to our florist, Hidden Garden Flowers. Their team set up the color blocked tablescape of our dreams with complementary rentals from La Pinata Party and Collective Rentals. In the background, we had a live musician from On The Beat Music Agency creating the perfect ambience. Each place setting had color-coordinated paper goods, name cards, and drink tags, thanks to Chelcea Cupples Creative and Delovely Details! The entire space had an extra dose of color with larger-than-life balloon installations from Balloon Avenue LA. We can’t forget about our amazing backdrop from Hello Pretty Events!“

Be Inspired PR continues,

“As everyone took their seats, a multi-course upscale brunch, courtesy of the team behind Colette’s Catering, awaited them. Our CEO and founder, Leila Lewis, welcomed everyone and gave an intro for one of our keynote speakers, Dawn McCoy, founder of the Loving Way Foundation. Next up, we heard from Dr. Katie Marks-Cogan, an allergist with our friends at Ready. Set. Food! She taught all the moms in attendance about the importance of introducing allergens, safely and early, to children. Finally, for the ultimate surprise that no one expected. We treated guests to a special video presentation, where we had secretly coordinated with each guests family and friends to send in videos of their loved ones. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when their kids and loved ones shared a ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ message!

Before everyone headed home, guests received custom gift baskets that featured products from some of our favorite brands for moms! Ready. Set. Food! generously gifted early allergen introduction products like their oatmeals, bars, and mix-ins, catering to each mom’s needs based on her kids’ ages. The baskets (from The Little Market) also featured diapers from Millie Moon, vitamins from Pink Stork, beauty products from Summer Fridays, denim jackets from Three Wildflower Designs, mealtime kits from EZPZ, pajamas from Hanna Andersson, custom labels from Mabel’s Labels, baby carriers from Tula x Oddbird, robes from Oddbird, and sweatshirts from Baby Barn. Every single guest left feeling oh-so-loved!“

The producer of Tassels & Tastemakers, Be Inspired PR, tells us all about the cocktail hour that started it all off,

Black and white is a classic color palette for a reason – it never goes out of style! For a cocktail hour that would keep guests lingering for lively libations and delightful decor, we produced a modern twist on this timeless color scheme to create a fresh take.

This setup took place on the Black Marlin Terrace at the Hilton Los Cabos. We really wanted one of the main focal points of the design to be highlighting the epic ocean and resort views, so we stuck to a classic black and white color palette with fresh pops of greenery and a variety of texture to allow the ocean backdrop to take center stage. With help from Amy Abbott Events in behind-the-scenes planning, our design team Del Cabo Weddings created cozy lounges with accents like basket lanterns, fringed poufs, and plush sofas for intimate spaces for guests to mingle. Aria Vera Floral brought in pops of vibrant florals to tie the lounge looks together. Larger tables and bar counters were sprinkled throughout the space to provide ample seating for guests – and spots to set down their fabulous cocktails from the Hilton Los Cabos team!

To add to the ambiance, Smart Music Baja brought in a live saxophonist played jazzy renditions of modern hits, which created the perfect background soundtrack as guests chatted among themselves. As a photo moment, Serendipity created a larger-than-life scroll with vibrant floral prints and the names of all of the vendors that brought this vision to life to create a nod to their expert talents. Bells + Whistles brought in a chic decor moment with their custom bar signage to help guests choose the perfect beverage. And of course, we couldn’t have been more thrilled to have Courtney Taylor Photography and Jorge Ibarra Weddings capturing all of the photo and video content to ensure the details from this day could live on forever! This cocktail hour was proof that black and white can be both timeless and totally on-trend!

Next, guests of Tassels & Tastemakers Los Cabos proceeded to the ceremony space,

If you’re planning a destination wedding with oceanfront views, every moment of your wedding day should highlight that backdrop. After all, it’s probably one of the major reasons why you chose this spot for your destination wedding to begin with! The Hilton Los Cabos has no shortage of epic ocean views, so we teamed up with Amy Abbott Events to plan a bohemian daydream design full of earthy, natural details to work seamlessly with the gorgeous setting and highlight the beach location.

For our ceremony space at Mio Beach, our design team, Del Cabo Weddings, decided to use an arch backdrop accented with dried florals from Aria Vera Floral to keep the focus on the views. Woven rugs lined the sandy aisle. They added dried floral arrangements along the aisle in beach tones like sand, stone, and driftwood to create dimension.

Finally, the event ended in a stunning reception space,

As guests headed to the reception space on the Whale Watching Terrace, they found lush lounges full of cozy knit throws and textured pillows, as well as a table set with a neutral and blush color palette. Colorful glassware, mod menus and place cards from Bells + Whistles, and gauzy linens left everyone feeling like they were on cloud 9. The table was peppered with chic floral arrangements with dried floral accents – perfectly on trend for a beachfront reception!

Guests dined all night on gourmet bites provided by the Hilton Los Cabos chef and his team. There were options like grilled octopus and hamachi for elevated local cuisine while DJ Alex kept the music flowing all night long. Our extraordinary photographer and videographer, Courtney Taylor Photography and Jorge Ibarra Weddings, captured every detail that went into this unforgettable event. Overall, this design was full of luxe accents mixed with boho-chic details to create the ultimate destination wedding inspiration!

I had this event to get to know new content creators doing amazing things! LA is a city full of influencers, and I feel like I personally stick to a smaller group. I have followed and appreciated so many people in the industry for many years that I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting, and what better time to meet them than at this spring event?! There’s so much value in connection, so I also wanted to have this event for any of these content creators to have a chance to ask any questions. I’ve been a part of the social media world for over ten years, and I’ve learned a ton, so why not share what I learned?! The turnout was a huge success – I’ve made so many connections! I also had a few OG influencer friends that came out to support…what a special day!

For this spring welcome brunch, we envisioned a flirty and feminine theme that would keep things still feeling modern – think “the cooler, older sister of blush pink.” We created a “love in bloom” theme that was heavy on the florals. Guests had the perfect Instagram-worthy photo backdrop with an oversized floral arch full of lush blooms, and with a guest list consisting of top beauty influencers in Los Angeles, we needed as many photo moments as we could get! Cozy-chic lounges gave everyone plenty of space to sit and chat as they sipped on their on-theme cocktails: a butterfly gimlet or a vanilla apricot Paloma.

In between bites like soufflé pancakes and crab-stuffed omelets, everyone headed to the DIY flower bar to create custom dried floral bouquets as the sweetest souvenir to take home and enjoy. Before everyone left with gift bags full of Laura’s favorite beauty products, they tasted delectable confections that were almost too pretty to eat! This was a chic and sophisticated spring welcome brunch that was proof that florals are truly a gal’s best friend!

After a year like 2020, wedding industry vendors can all agree that a chance to network, connect, and converse with each other was much needed! With out revamped Tassels and Tastemakers program newly launched to create a space for event industry professionals to network with each other, we wanted to create a free opportunity for everyone to get together. We teamed up with the incredible team at Southall in Franklin, Tennessee for a Traveling Tassels Nashville meet-up and it was everything we could have hoped for. Southall is a 325-acre working farm set to be completed in the spring of 2022, so we were honored to have them host us and our guests – and we even got to see an exclusive sneak peek at the property!

Of course, the setting was just begging for farm-fresh food and florals, and that’s exactly what we got. We took farm-to-table literally and had Southall provide all of the flowers and food straight from their farm, freshly picked just for us and our guests!

Most importantly, we were able to spend a few hours networking and connecting with each other. The events industry was hit hard by the pandemic, so getting to chat about opportunities to collaborate together and meeting new people was such a refreshing and joyful way to jump back into the swing of things. We’re looking forward to our next Traveling Tassels Meet-Up – where should we go next?!

The entrance to the party included the cutest coffee bar trailer by Bar Magnolia to warm up guests before heading into the party. Wildflowers LLC lined the doorway to Allenbrooke Farms with amazing floral installations that were inspired by the fall palette and farmer’s market produce.

Guests were also invited to bring non-perishable food donations for One Generation Away, a local charity that helps local families in need. We loved that!

Tassels & Tastemakers is known for its Instagram moments, and this Nashville party was no exception! Just inside the barn doors, this stunning couch installation waited for guests to snap that perfect shot. A custom calligraphy tapestry by With Love And Letters was surrounded by more FiftyFlowers.com and Wildflowers LLC blooms! Also, can we talk about this couch for a sec!? NEED!

We loved the cute vendor appreciation station, too! Individually wrapped loaves of bread had the creative team’s handles on them, and each guest got to take home a sweet mini jar of honey.

It wouldn’t be Tassels and Tastemakers Nashville without a flowing bar and ultra-chic lounges. Simply Southern Occasions served up delicious fresh produce-inspired cocktails featuring local organic vodka from Blackleaf Vodka. OneHope provided red, white, and sparkling that guests sipped on in mismatched lounges from Makyer Creative on the patio.

Dannie Holmes Catering served up fresh bites and desserts, all displayed on the cutest station that emulated a farmer’s market booth. “Food and friends, always better when homegrown” – So true!

VIP guests were invited upstairs to shop the most incredible swag wall with products from 31 Bits, Tula, Amika, and Paddywax Candle Bar. With Love and Letters also made custom calligraphy luggage tags for guests, and it was a huge hit!

Entertain! kept the tunes flowing and the dance floor full! We had such a great time meeting so many amazing bloggers and wedding pros in Nashville.

Guests arrived and immediately were greeted by one wedding trend that’s already on everyone’s radar for 2020: all the neutrals! From chic and cozy lounges from Found Rentals to the gorgeous floral installations from Inessa Nichols Design, everyone was swooning over the modern neutral color palette that filled the room. Juice Box Media captured every moment and we can’t wait to see the final video!

While guests sipped on tasty welcome beverages served by The Bar Modern and listened to fun music from Red Shoe LA, they were able to take photos in front of the Bed Bath & Beyond photo backdrop and browse the BBB registry display – everyone was immediately adding items to their wishlist! One of the favorite installations of the day was the Mrs. Box cabinet, filled with every bride’s dream: the most gorgeous ring boxes to display your sparkly something!

Bed Bath & Beyond sponsored the event, and guests were able to browse some of the BBB Favorite registry items at the Bed Bath & Beyond registry display, and they all went home with swag bags courtesy of Bed Bath & Beyond.

As guests began to take their seats for the delicious lunch Sundried Tomato was serving, they couldn’t stop taking Instagram photos of the gorgeous table settings. Hidden Garden Flowers created the most incredible tabletop arrangements, and the sleek tabletop rentals from La Pinata Party brought the decor to another level. The custom paper goods from Prim & Pixie completed each place setting, and made for the perfect Instagrammable moment!

When the panels began, speakers took their seats at the front of the room in front of a champagne display from One Hope Wine. Combined with the gorgeous dried florals from Inessa Nichols Design, it created the perfect backdrop for two inspiring panels. 

Guests first heard all about wedding trends for 2020. With Leila Lewis of Inspired by This moderating, attendees heard from Amy Marella of Hidden Garden Flowers, Jeni Maus of Found Rentals, Summer Ball of The Mrs. Box, and Desiree Siegfried of Desiree Hartsock Bridal about what trends wedding industry pros could expect to see more of in 2020. Guests heard the experts share their opinions about upcoming trends, trends they’d love to see less of, how to stand out among so much competition, and more!

After a quick break for guests to mingle and network with each other and the panelists, the second panel on media and marketing began. Jennifer Stein of Destination I Do, Lara Burnap of California Wedding Day, and Jen Campbell of Green Wedding Shoes shared their knowledge with attendees, answering questions like what exactly editors are looking for in submissions, how to make a wedding submission stand out, and how to make the most out of a wedding feature. Every attendee left this event feeling “inspired by weddings” and ready to embrace 2020 with a fresh mindset, new ideas, and a “we’ve got this!” attitude!

We were beyond honored to have two super inspiring panels of moms share their experiences with us. We listened to Leila Lewis, Jade Roper Tolbert, Katrina Scott, Jazmyn Simon, Lo Roxburgh, Dr. Deepika Chopra, and Susie Menkes as they reminded us all to prioritize your mental wellness, do things that make you happy, take time to nurture yourself, and not rush the process. We left with a sense of renewal and a note to not judge where we are at or where we think we should be, to be kind and patient with ourselves, and that things are always unfolding. After all, we’re all perfect in our babies’ eyes, right? Here’s a peek inside of a perfect day at Inspired by Motherhood:

Guests were also treated to a VIP shopping experience by some of the biggest names in the baby space including Majka, 4Moms, My Green Mattress, Ergobaby, UPPAbaby, Petunia Pickle Bottom, The Little Market, and Lovevery, and were able to get a first glance at their new and innovative products. Of, course it wouldn’t be an Insprired by This event without legit swag

Once everyone shopped ’til they *almost* dropped, we headed over to listen to our panelists, after stopping at the snack and sip station, of course. The focus of the two different panels, Eat + Sleep and Play + Thrive, was to honor the hard work, self-sacrifice, and no days off lifestyle, and share tips for new and veteran moms alike.
